It is polite to eat soup with a spoon and not make any noise.
You never eat your medicine, you always take it.
The reason that it will always be take and never eat, is because Prescription is derived from the Latin word recipe (ré-kí-peh), which roughly means take this. Regardless of the form, whether injected, imbibed (drank), transfused, absorbed transfermally, implanted surgically or ingested (as with pills), it will always be to take medicine.
用take而不用eat得原因大致是因為Prescription (處方、藥)這個詞于拉丁語單詞recipe (re-ki-peh),大致意思就是“服用(take this)”。
Eating means putting food in your mouth, chewing it and then swallowing it.
①take/have some medicine
medicine經常與some或sb's搭配
②take ... pills
take 1-2 pills daily
take 3 pills twice a day
Her doctor says she has to rest and take medicine twice a day.
